In 1980, French player Jean Lovilla provided the idea of a “French poster” to Philippe Chatelier, then president of the French tennis federation. Since then, the Organizing Committee of the French Open every year will invite some famous artists to design posters for them. The French poster subtly condenses this artistic, superb sport, with each posters representing one of Roland Garros’s colors, a mood in which tennis and art are harmoniously tied together in such a way. This year, Kate Shepherd, a female artist from New York, acted as the official poster for the French Open in 2007. Here to listen to her
