Preface With the rapid development of industry, the wear resistance of the machine put forward higher requirements. In order to obtain good wear resistance, the parts must have a higher hardness, a smaller coefficient of friction and better anti-biting performance. The preliminary results of the gas-infiltration sulfur nitrocarburization jointly researched by our factory and scientific research institutes established by the Ministry of Railways, Xi’an Machine Factory, Northwestern Polytechnical University and Northwest Institute of Light Industry show that the process is a new kind of new wear- Chemical heat treatment process. According to the information, the gas infiltration sulfur nitrocarburizing parts, can greatly improve the wear resistance and anti-bite ability, in addition also has the ability to work at 450 ℃ without lubrication features. Therefore, some advanced industrial countries, such as France, Britain and other countries, have gradually applied this technology to industry. However, its method uses toxic salt bath liquid infiltration process, and the formula has been kept confidential. Rarely reported on the use of general pollution-free gas method.
