本研究调查了习语熟悉度及英语阅读理解能力和听力理解能力对中国学习者理解英语习语的影响作用。通过让受试对同一组习语进行熟悉度评定任务和习语理解任务,作者发现学习者对熟悉程度较高的习语理解其意义也较准确;学习者的阅读理解和听力理解能力与习语理解能力显著相关;习语理解能力有差异的学习者在各个任务中表现也有较大差异。
This study investigated the effect of idioms familiarity and English reading comprehension and listening comprehension on Chinese learners’ understanding of English idioms. By allowing subjects to assess familiar tasks and idioms in the same group of idioms, the author found that learners ’understanding of idioms with a high degree of familiarity is more accurate. The learners’ ability of reading comprehension and listening comprehension Language comprehension ability was significantly correlated; learners with different idioms understanding ability also showed great differences in various tasks.
