Since 2008, the U.S. economy has slowed down, the debt crisis in Europe has been grave, and the global economy has obviously declined. In the post-crisis era, the United States, the European Union, China, Japan and other major economies should further adjust their monetary and economic policies. At present, the world economy needs China to make greater contributions after more than 20 years of rapid growth. For example, it will further play a more important role in the international monetary system by further reducing its control over imports and increasing its imports of commodities from other countries. As China is still a developing country, some features of the developed countries in the course of their development will increasingly appear. To maintain stability between the renminbi and the U.S. dollar requires a more expansionary monetary policy to further raise the level of consumption and boost domestic demand.
