Determination of Trace Mercury by Extraction Spectrophotometry with Mercury-1, 10-Phenanthroline-Sulfonphthalein Dye Anion Ternary Complex in the West System. In this paper, xanthophyll dye PhloB (phloB) was used as a chromogenic reagent, with 1,2-dichloroethane extraction spectrophotometric determination of trace mercury. The maximum absorption wavelength of the complex was 564 nm (ε = 8.20 × 10 -4), and the complexing ratio was Hg: phen: phloB = 1: 2: 1.
