本文根据史料记载,对“大部落”与“大蕃”精神理念的成因,从文化角度进行了初步探讨,尤其对“大蕃”精神理念的成因进一步从地理位置,王权统治和当时的历史背景等方面进行了较为深入的论述,并得出“大蕃”一词是藏文“(?)”的汉文直译的结论,从而纠正了个别研究人员把“大蕃”一词误认为是“吐蕃”一词的引伸或“(?)”是“大蕃”一词的藏文直译的错误说法。
