一个以分子生物学和脑科学应用研究为主要目标的核磁共振研究中心——武汉磁共振研究中心在武汉成立。10月22日中共湖北省委常委、湖北省科技厅厅长周济院士向中国科学院武汉物理与数学研究所及武汉大学中南医院授牌,科技部、中科院及省科技厅有关领导出席了授牌仪式,中科院副院长白春礼院士为“中心”的成立发来贺信。 自1945年Bloch和Purcell发现核磁共振(NMR)现象以来,特别是近二十年核磁共振技术的发展突飞猛进,取得了一系列令人瞩目的成就。二十一世纪在生命科学和其它科学许多重大问题的研究上,NMR将起着别的任何已有的研究手段所不能起的重要作用。
A magnetic resonance research center centered on the application of molecular biology and brain science research, the Wuhan Magnetic Resonance Research Center was established in Wuhan. On October 22, Academician Zhou Ji, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the CPC and Director of the Hubei Science and Technology Department, awarded a plaque to the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. The leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Provincial Science and Technology Department attended the ceremony. Academician Bai Chunli, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences sent a letter of congratulation for the establishment of the “center.” Since the discovery of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) phenomenon by Bloch and Purcell in 1945, especially the development of nuclear magnetic resonance technology in recent 20 years, a series of remarkable achievements have been made. In the 21st century, in the study of many major issues in the life sciences and other sciences, NMR will play an important role that cannot be played by any other existing research methods.
