龙头山林场位于围场县中北部,伊逊河纵贯全场,查字作业区延伸至赛罕坝下。海拔1000至1500米,山高坡陡,气候恶劣。全场总经营面积174479亩。天然次生林59729亩,落叶松人工林67450亩,森林复被率已达71％。目前尚有宜林地近50000亩。 为了解决落叶松种子奇缺的困难,我们遵照伟大领袖毛主席关于“自力更生”的教导,在各级党委和上级主管部门的领导和大力支持下,两年来,共整建华北落叶松采种母树林5350亩,占落叶松人工林的12.5％,已初步收到了良好效果。
