This article outlines a model of the potato tuber viscoelastic behavior that forms the basis of the artificial potato. This device measures some of the parameters to determine the extent of damage to the potato. This article briefly describes the principle of this device, and discusses their advantages and disadvantages, but also summarizes the data processing technology and proposes a new method. The calibration of the existing device was conducted and its shortcomings were pointed out. Recalling past published work and supplementing previously unpublished work. At the same time, the author put forward the viewpoint that the distribution inertia plays an important role in the research of potato tuber collisions, and has questioned the basic structure principle of the existing devices. It points out that more efforts are needed to develop a test device with distributed inertia.
