白虎岭铀矿区位于扬子准地台(Ⅰ1)、江南台隆(Ⅱ2)、萍乡—乐平台陷(Ⅲ5)、丰城—乐平凹断束(Ⅳ12)西南端,属华东南晚元古代大裂谷系的乐平—丰城裂谷。区内构造活动频繁,岩层产状变化复杂。结合区内地质工作成果,对区域地质特征、铀矿化地质特征进行了分析,并对王坊地段、白虎岭地段实测剖面岩性特征、矿区地层层序及时代归属进行了讨论,在此基础上对矿区铀矿找矿成果进行了探讨,为该区进一步取得铀矿找矿突破提供了重要依据。
