回鹘文是我国的维吾尔族早在唐末、两宋和元代前期广泛使用过的一种古文字。维吾尔人曾经用这种文字记录并保存下来不少极其珍贵的文化典籍,成为我们认识与了解古代维吾尔人的政治、经济、文化和语言状况的第一手资料。在目前可以见到的经过国内外学者整理、研究和刊布的回鹘文文献中,除了文学作品、宗教经典、占卜辞书和医药文件外,还有近200篇的社会经济文书。这些社会经济文书对于研究十二到十四世纪维吾尔人的社会政治经济状况具有特别重要的意义。但是其中绝大多数文书至今尚无汉文译本,国内史学界难得利
Huiwen is an ancient Chinese writing widely used by Uygur in China as late as the end of Tang Dynasty, the two Songs and the early Yuan Dynasty. Uyghurs have used this language to record and keep quite a few precious cultural books, which have become the first-hand information on our understanding and understanding of the political, economic, cultural and linguistic conditions of ancient Uyghurs. At present, there are nearly 200 articles of social and economic literature in the 鹘 texts collected, researched and published by scholars at home and abroad, in addition to literary works, religious scriptures, divination dictionaries and medical documents.
