为了降低加工成本,经常采用高效率切削方法。其途径有:(1)高速切削;(2)高速进给;(3)加大切削深度。现以铸铁和钢为被切削材料,以车削和铣削为切削方法,来论述高速切削的现状和发展趋势。 1.高速切削的现状表1是日本1985年车削汽车零件的最高切削速度和1987年要达到的切削速度目标。由该表可知,车削铸铁时,能实现“高速切削”,而切削钢时,尚未达到高速切削范围(高速切削铸铁或钢的切削速度范围在500~5000m/min)。
