当前,音乐教育哲学的研究,已经呈现为不同的哲学范式和思想潮流。国际上有代表性的几种哲学范式,影响较大的有音乐教育的审美哲学、实践哲学。此外,还有音乐教育的政治哲学、功能哲学等不同的思潮。国内较为有代表性的哲学思潮有音乐教育美育论哲学,21世纪基础教育国家音乐课程标准所倡导和体现的“审美核心”论音乐教育哲学理念,以及学者管建华等人倡导的后哲学语境下,音乐人类学视野中的音乐文化哲学等思潮。
