The Law on Merchants was born out of the habits and laws of the medieval European merchant class in international commercial activities, adjusting their commercial relations. The Law of Traders, which originated in the commercial activities and practices of merchants on the Mediterranean coast of Europe, originated from ancient trade practices. In the 11th and 12th centuries, changes in socio-economic and political conditions led to the recovery of the urban economy in European cities. In order to avoid the dominance of the feudal estates law, the merchant class has created commercial guilds that provide security for itself.
