作者们对颞骨胆脂瘤和各种中耳疾病的活组织作了组织学和生化研究以探索胆固醇和胆脂瘤的关系及其来源。所用材料为25例颞骨连续切片(其中22例上鼓室胆脂瘤,2例胆固醇肉芽肿,1例鼓膜内陷袋);52例上鼓室胆脂瘤和鼓膜内陷袋胆脂瘤手术标本;8例胆固醇肉芽肿手术标本;5例慢性单纯型中耳炎或渗出性中耳炎手术所获小黄色标本。用HE和PAS染色作组织学研究。8例中耳渗出液、5例内陷袋耳粘膜、4例中耳粘膜和静脉血、5例胆固醇肉芽肿手术标本作生化研究确定胆固醇和胆固醇酯量。结果:组织学观察表明有上鼓室胆脂瘤的颞
The authors made histological and biochemical studies of temporal bone cholesteatoma and various tissues of middle ear disease to explore the relationship between cholesterol and cholesteatoma and their origin. Materials used were 25 cases of continuous temporal bone section (including 22 cases of upper tympanic cholesteatoma, 2 cases of cholesterol granuloma and 1 case of tympanic membrane invagination bag); 52 cases of upper tympanic cholesteatoma and tympanic membrane cholesteatoma; 8 cases of cholesterol granuloma surgical specimens; 5 cases of chronic simple otitis media or exudative otitis media surgery received small yellow specimens. Histological studies were performed with HE and PAS staining. 8 cases of middle ear exudate, 5 cases of inflated pocket ear mucosa, 4 cases of middle ear mucosa and venous blood, 5 cases of cholesterol granuloma surgical specimens for biochemical studies to determine the amount of cholesterol and cholesterol esters. Results: Histological examination revealed temporal involvement of the tympanic cholesteatoma
