全市人民瞩目的延安东路隧道,去年底已试通车,它的投入运营,将为缓解上海交通,开发浦东做出贡献,为上海人民造福。在延安东路建设隧道,地段适中,解决交通拥挤状况的效果显著,但困难亦较大。技术上会遇到不少问题。如何解决这些难题呢?关键在于依靠科学技术。考虑到今后便利交通,又要照顾眼前,不能过大影响当前交通;要动迁部分建(构)筑物,又要保护部分建筑。规划上选择了曲线型,在浦东浦西两侧沿岸的桩基空隙中穿越。浦西场地小,就选在浦东安装盾构,由浦东向浦西推。延安路外滩,找不出地方建设竖井,就选在江西路口建井。最后确定的隧道方案,自浦西的延安东路福建路口起,穿越黄浦江,东至浦东的陆家嘴路烂泥度路,接入浦东大道,全长2261米。浦东设二个竖井,浦西一个竖井。建成后在浦东西两岸可看到两座高耸的六十余米的风塔,与外滩街景融为一体。主体工程过江段采用盾构法施工的圆形隧道长1476米。隧道地形见下图
