大口鲶一般仅作为池塘配养对象,近年来,国内一些单位探索了在水库中用网箱养殖大口鲶,取得了一定的产量,但所喂饵料大多为野杂鱼类、动物内脏等鲜活饵料,规模难以扩大,并直接影响了养殖效益及推广。2001年在邹平县西董会仙水库进行了人工配合饵料网箱养殖大口鲶高产试验,获得了较好的效果:平均每平方米净产大口鲶71.8kg,当年孵化鱼苗当年养至1065g,饵料系数2.07。
