The World Bank used a new method of measuring national net worth in 1995. Suddenly leaders from all over the world found that the economic orientation of their country changed dramatically overnight. Then calmly think about it, this new measurement method can indeed enable people to understand their development conditions and development potential more objectively than ever before, and formulate more scientifically the development goals and development strategies. In the past, when measuring the level and speed of economic growth in various countries, the World Bank mainly used two methods: one was per capita GNP converted into U.S. dollars based on the prevailing exchange rate and the other was GNP per capita calculated on the basis of purchasing power parity. The two methods are based on the theoretical basis and computing methods are different, but are based on economic output as the distinction between rich and poor countries
