尤九《中国书法》年展,作为庆祝中华人民共和国成立五十周年系列书法大展的重要组成部分,除了作品有着相当的代表性和高水平以外,在展览的操作方式、作者指向以及展览的评审等方面,都表现出了开拓进取的色彩,因而在京展出期间受到了广泛的关注与好评。二○○○年元月七日上午,《中国书法》年展的第一次巡展在河南这个当代书法创作的先进地区开幕。下午,《中国书法》邀请了参加全国第五届书学讨论会论文终审的中国书协学术委员,以及河南部分书法创作骨干,就年展及其相关的问题作了座谈,以探讨得失,总结经验。刘正成首先介绍了《中国书法》年展作品的情况,他说:“中国书法年展主要由两部分组成,其中三十八件是全国中青展评委库的成员,在提供五件作品的基础上挑出的作品;其它六十二件作品则是在参加三次以上全国中青展的骨干作者所投稿件中,经过反复评审而确定的。在这个展览的评审前后,我们已经组织有关同志开了两次座谈,纪要也都已经在《中国书法》发表。今天请各位来的目的,是要完成展览的第三个步骤,就是在展览及作品发表已有相当长的时间以后,对其做更进一步的理性的审视与思考。换句话说,这个展览的百件作品能否体现当代中青年书法创作的走向,从中又能否总结出对当代中青年书法创作产生影响的经验、得失等。另外,我们想在《中国书法》年展的基础上,将它改为国际性的书法双年展。怎么办,也请大家从理论与创作的双重角度发表意见。”现将座谈发言整理刊发,以飨读者。
