Soil erosion in highway construction is a typical type of man-made accelerated erosion. Its type, degree and intensity have a direct causal relationship with the construction of the main project. The soil is linearly distributed along the highway in space and has a high degree of identity with the main project in time. Based on the field investigation and on-the-spot survey of the fragile environmental conditions in the alpine region of Langchuan of National Highway 213 (Langmusi to Chuanzhusi), the causes, characteristics and prevention and cure of soil and water loss caused by highway construction are systematically analyzed. Combining with the practical problems encountered in the process of engineering design and construction, corresponding measures for soil and water conservation are put forward so as to do a good job of soil and water conservation in the alpine wetland so as to effectively improve the ecological environment along the highway.
