玛莎·诺曼的戏剧《特鲁迪·布鲁》是疾病叙事中追寻叙事的代表作品。在追寻叙事中,女主人公金杰经历了回忆、与幻想世界的决裂和回归三个阶段,最终实现了自我重构。诺曼采用回忆剧的模式将金杰得知自己罹患癌症后的内心挣扎进行了戏剧刻画。同时,诺曼使用分裂人格的手法,表现了金杰的现实自我与幻想自我特鲁迪·布鲁之间的冲突,并最终摆脱幻想自我。尽管最终金杰未能摆脱癌症的困扰,但是她通过重新与家人建立联结,在关系中实现了自我重构。通过这部具有自传性的剧作,诺曼实现了叙事治疗,探讨了叙事伦理。
Martha Norman’s play “Trudy Bluff” is a representative piece of narrative in narrative narratives. In the pursuit of narrative, the heroine JJ experienced three stages: the remembrance, the breakup and the return to the fantasy world, and ultimately the self-reconstruction. Norman used dramatic recall patterns to portray Jin Jie’s inner struggles after suffering from cancer. At the same time, Norman used the technique of splitting personality to show the conflict between Jin Jie’s real self and Trujillo, the fantasy self, and finally get rid of the fantasy self. Although in the end Jin Jie failed to get rid of cancer problems, but she realized through the re-establishment of links with family, self-reconstruction in the relationship. Through this autobiographical drama, Norman realized narrative therapy and explored narrative ethics.
