The giant science processor (BSP) announced by Burroughs in the spring of 1977 has many new design ideas. It is an array processor that executes 50 million floating-point operations per second and is based on the FORTRAN language and uses parallel multiprocessors. This machine can be used in meteorology, atomic energy, seismic data analysis, structural analysis and other fields. It has some features that are similar to other array processors, but also features that are different from other machines. Braus Scientific processor system will use the company’s existing computer to organize its system.
