由于钛合金的煅造和冷压加工困难,不能制作完全适合于各个患者的精密修复体,而超塑性成形法则能达到这一要求。温度、变形速度及材料的晶粒尺寸是影响超塑性的主要因素,而材料的晶粒尺寸越细,在超塑性成型时变形阻抗越小,操作更易且省时。作者以Ti—6Al—4V为材料,置于气压成型装置中,用磷酸盐包埋,以氩气加压成型制作义齿基托。获得成品与口腔组织适合性好,低于冷冲成型和铸造法,勿需退火处理,抛光容易。因此,该方法是一种工艺简单,效果优良的方法。
