Obesity, a dystrophic disease most frequently seen in mod society, has become one of the worldwide health concs. Obesity not only affects the body shape, but also has close relations to angiocardiopathy, diabetes, hypertension,hyperlipemia and fatty liver. Therefore, the prevention and treatment of obesity have become a major problem facing the medical workers. At present, there are a lot of therapies for obesity,including pharmacotherapy, acupuncture therapy,dietary therapy, exercise therapy, and surgical therapy. Acupuncture therapy, with its unique advantages of safety, effectiveness, simplicity, less expense and no toxic side-effects, becomes more and more popular among the patients. In this study,40 cases of simple obesity were chosen to clinically observe the curative effect of acupuncturetherapy for simple obesity.
