随着我国加入世界贸易组织,以及对外开放政策的实行,我国与世界各国的联系日渐加深。英语作为一种国际通用语言,在国与国的交流之间发挥了重要作用。但在这种跨文化交际中,如果不了解双方的文化背景,就很难明白对话中蕴含的信息,阻碍跨文化交流。中华传统饮食文化和英语教学是语言习得两个重要的方面,中华传统饮食文化在中国文化中占有重要地位,它的本土特色对英语单词,句子和语言表达产生重要影响。因此在进行英语教学时,应当注重对中华传统饮食文化的了解。本文通过阐述中华饮食文化在跨文化交流中的重要作用,探讨其在英语教学中的体现。
With China’s accession to the World Trade Organization and the implementation of the policy of opening to the outside world, our relations with other countries in the world are deepening. As an international language, English plays an important role in the exchange of nations. However, in this kind of intercultural communication, it is difficult to understand the information contained in the dialogue and hinder intercultural communication without understanding the cultural background of both sides. Traditional Chinese food culture and English teaching are two important aspects of language acquisition. Chinese traditional food culture occupies an important position in Chinese culture, and its local characteristics have an important influence on English words, sentences and language expressions. Therefore, English teaching should focus on the understanding of Chinese traditional food culture. This essay expounds the important role of Chinese food culture in intercultural communication and discusses its manifestation in English teaching.
