In 1999, the municipal industry in Botou City of Hebei Province reversed the passive situation of sustained decline in profits for five years. The industrial economy showed a strong growth trend: the industrial output value of the year was 570 million yuan, an increase of 16.8% year-on-year, and profits and taxes were 44 million yuan.
