随着类似失败者大会FailCon——“让新企业创始人研究自己和别人的失败,从而为未来的成功做好准备”这类活动的兴起,失败的价值正在硅谷被奉为真言。这一信念认为,失败是一种强而有力的实践教育。当它被正确对待时,就能够让你迅速学习,得以成长。但大多数时候,失败依然被视为是无法摆脱的耻辱:你尽力之后失败无关紧要,但是你终究是一个“失败者”。在世界各地,失败依旧被普遍认为是一种禁忌。然而真相是,失败并非极少数“倒霉者”独有的体验。
The value of failure is being honored in Silicon Valley with the rise of such activities as FailCon - “Let New Business Founders Study Their Failure with Others to Prepare for Future Success.” The belief that failure is a powerful practical education. When it is treated correctly, it allows you to learn quickly and grow. But most of the time, failure is still seen as a shame that can not be outgrown: failure does not matter if you do your best, but you end up being a “loser.” In all parts of the world, failure is still widely regarded as a taboo. The truth, however, is that failure is not the exclusive experience of the “unlucky person.”
