A PVC membrane ClO 4 ~ - electrode was prepared with triheptyl hexadecyl ammonium perchlorate as active material and dioctyl phthalate as plasticizer. The linear response range is 2 × 10 -6 -10 -10 -1 (MClO 4 -). The selectivity is similar to or slightly better than that of Orion 93-81 ClO 4 - electrode. The other properties are good and the service life is up to 6 months.
