黑龙江版画衍生于1946年延安鲁艺美术工作者在黑龙江地域开展的新兴木刻运动。1958年屯垦戍边时,又融入了以复转官兵为主体的艺术创作理念,开创和形成了生机勃发、大气恢弘的北大荒版画学派,继而引发了包括工业、林业、矿业和农业地区的后续版画热潮,为当代黑龙江版画创作奠定了文化前提与红色基因,特别是具有青年艺术特质的知青版画和改革开放以后一批新生代作者所探索的欧美艺
