两个舞人分别出于南越王墓的东耳室和西耳室中。左边的跪姿圆雕舞人,出于西耳室;头梳横出螺髻,衣裾上刻有卷云纹,左袖上举,右手甩袖,舞姿优美。右边的立姿扁平线刻舞人,头顶簪花,腰悬佩玉,右袖上扬至头顶垂落,左袖招于胸前。这个舞人的重心并不落在两足之间,呈不稳定姿态;大概是玉雕工匠攫取了汉代舞姬一刹那间的动态,雕成回旋若风举的曼妙形象。据舞蹈史的研究,在汉代宫廷中,盛行长袖舞。这两个舞人显然都是在跳“长袖舞”,只是动作各异而已。它为我们了解两千余年前的舞蹈艺术提供了
