赤胆忠诚浇铸的无形界碑斯卡克是新疆生产建设兵团农五师八十七团畜牧公司的一名牧工,有着30多年的党龄。他在米尔其克草原上生活了40年,是中国—哈萨克斯坦边境线上的义务护边员。20世纪50年代,小斯卡克跟随着父亲从新疆维吾尔自治区精河县迁徙到温泉县米尔其克草原,从此,斯卡克就在边境牧场深深地扎下了根。那时候,有边境没边防,斯卡克幼小的心灵总有一种莫名的恐慌,放牧之余和其他儿童团员跟随民兵戍边巡疆,成了斯卡克最深的记忆。
