不同于《Year Zero》概念性前提先于音乐本身,2008年Trent Reznor制造的四部曲“Ghost”可能更多地想让听者流连于音乐间,纯粹的器乐曲烹调成了宏大的听觉盛宴,人们像使用味蕾去品尝美味一样通过听觉神经仔细斟酌乐感。《GhostsⅠ-Ⅳ》可以说是Trent Reznor想用去掉歌词和人声的方式让更多数人走出一直徘徊的听乐误区。很多音乐有时候往往并不是在传递什么意义,而是在凝造一种感觉。先锋艺术家们创作的音乐多行此径,于是我们看到许多以post为前缀的音乐形式常常让人听得不明所以,但是真正进入的人又往往耽于这种音乐所营造的氛围当中。
