中国共产党建党初期国家统一思想涵盖了其新民主主义革命时期国家统一思想的基本内容,“三次论战”中奠定了国家统一思想的阶级性基础,深刻分析了中国实现统一的最大障碍,总体阐发了自身所肩负的国家统一历史重任,初步认识中国国民党在国家统一中的相对积极作用。同时,武装斗争、革命军队及中国国民党在国家统一中的地位等问题在这一时期的中共国家统一思想中还没有达到真理性认识。
