Honeywell will accept a business for the aeronautical laser gyro inertial system used on the Boeing 757/767 transport aircraft, the first of which will be delivered in early 1983. The new system uses the same components as the aeronautical system model, but has other features that make it a complete Arinc 561 inertial system. These features include station storage and simulation, as well as digital output, so that the system can replace the original reference system. The new Honeywell weighs 53 pounds and consumes less than 100 watts and costs about $ 140,000.
