Case Brief [1] In January 1999, SEC Elevator Co., Ltd. of Japan applied to the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce for the registration of the trademark “SEC” and “Suzuki” with the category labeled as Category 7, including products such as elevators. In June and July 2000, with the approval of China Trademark Office, SEC Elevator Co., Ltd. obtained the exclusive rights of “SEC”, “Suzuki” trademark. In November 2003, SEC Elevator Co., Ltd. submitted to the China Trademark Office an application for the transfer of a registered trademark. The column “Assignor Stamp (Signature)” in the application was covered with a square cap engraved with “SEC Elevator Co., Ltd.” , Assignee for the founding of Sakai (Japanese)
