Hairy cell leukemia (HCL) is extremely rare in clinical practice, accounting for about 2% of leukemia. Due to the small number of cases, people are not fully aware of them and are prone to misdiagnosis and mistreatment. We reviewed the case reports of domestic HCL from 1998 to August 2009 and summarized them as follows. 1 Clinical data 1.1 General information The database was retrieved from Wanfang Medical Network (http:/med.wanfangdata.com.cn) using the term “hair cell leukemia” (1998 to 200).
