于1997年4月1～3日,在繁盛的新加坡国际会议展览中心举行的“第八届亚洲食品配料展”,由新加坡贸易发展局首席行政主任代表David Chin先生剪彩,正式开幕。 一连三天的展览会有超过225个国际生产商参展,展出多种崭新研究开发的食品配料产品;展会期间共吸引了逾5,300名参观者,当中达5成以上是来自新加坡以外的国家。 在开幕典礼致词时,David Chin先生引述1995年世界贸易组织报告资料,指出亚洲地区的食品贸易金额
On April 1-3, 1997, the 8th Asian Food Ingredients Exhibition held at the prosperous Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Center was officially opened by David Chin, Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Trade Development Council. Over three days of exhibitions, more than 225 international manufacturers participated in the exhibition and exhibited a variety of new ingredients for research and development. During the exhibition, more than 5,300 visitors were attracted, of which more than 50% were from outside Singapore. At the opening ceremony, Mr. David Chin quoted the 1995 World Trade Organization report, pointing out the amount of food trade in Asia.
