2001年12月11日,我国正式加入世界贸易组织。加入WTO,对于我国经济发展和社会进步来说,既是巨大的机遇,又是严峻的挑战。在憧憬美好未来的同时,我们也倍感严峻挑战带来的强大压力、如何引导广大市民主动调整心态,学习新知识新技术,提高全市企事业的国际竞争能力;如何为洪山经济建设和社会进步服务,为把武汉建设成为国际型大都市培养熟悉国际经济法规、精通国际通用技术、善于涉外经营交流的合格人才,已经成为我区成人教育刻不容缓的任务。
On December 11, 2001, China formally joined the World Trade Organization. Accession to the WTO is not only a tremendous opportunity but also a serious challenge to our country’s economic development and social progress. While looking forward to a glorious future, we also feel the great pressure brought by the harsh challenges, how to guide the general public to take the initiative to adjust their mentality, learn new knowledge and new technologies, and enhance the international competitiveness of enterprises in the city. How to provide opportunities for Hongshan’s economic construction and social progress? Service has become an urgent task for our adult education in order to build Wuhan into an international metropolis and cultivate qualified personnel who are familiar with international economic laws and regulations, master international common technologies and are good at foreign business exchanges.
