OBJECTIVE: To explore the feasibility of using ARC process management to reduce skin problems and improve quality of life in patients with stoma. Methods: Sixty patients with permanent ostomy due to rectal cancer were divided into two groups according to different nursing management procedures: 30 cases in trial group and 30 cases in control group. ARC group management was performed in trial group, Health guidance. Record two groups of patients with rectal cancer stoma skin problems and quality of life of 15 factors and the overall evaluation score. Results: There were 3 skin problems in the test group and 10 skin problems in the control group. The incidence of skin problems in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups (χ ~ 2 = 4.81, P <0.05). The quality of life scores and overall quality of life of the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The ARC process management model has a positive effect on reducing skin problems and improving quality of life in patients with stoma ostoma in rectal cancer.
