政府作为人类社会最大的政治组织,政府的规模与一个国家的行政效率、经济增长和社会稳定密切相关。对于政府的规模,美国民主党和共和党历来有“大政府”与“小政府”之争。政府与市场的关系问题是当代各种思潮争论的焦点之一,也是美国民主党新自由主义和共和党新保守主义争论的焦点之一。从美国的历史经验来看,“大政府”与“小政府”的政策均有效。
As the largest political organization in human society, the government is closely related to the administrative efficiency, economic growth and social stability of a country. For the size of the government, the U.S. Democrats and Republicans have always had the struggle between “big government” and “small government.” The issue of the relationship between the government and the market is one of the focal points of various current trends of thought. It is also one of the focal points of the debates between the neo-liberalism of the United States Democratic Party and the neoconservatives of the Republican Party. From the historical experience of the United States, both the “big government” and the “small government” policies are effective.
