各种生物生长发育都需要一定的外界条件。害虫的发生和当地气候有密切的关系,而植物的生长发育(如发芽、开花、落花、结实等等),也和当地气候密切相关。因此,可以利用植物生长发育情况来预测当地害虫发生期,作为各种害虫发生的指示物。几年来作者在南北疆对黄地老虎越冬代幼虫化蛹、羽化的物侯,进行了一些观察,结果见下表。

The occurrence of pests and the local climate are closely related to the growth and development of plants (such as germination, flowering, falling flowers, strong, etc.), and the local climate are closely related. In recent years, the authors conducted some observations on the larvae pupation and eclosion of the overwintering generations of yellow tigers in northern and southern Xinjiang. The results are shown in the following table.
