6月27日,汕头大学校园人头涌动,一群身着博士服、硕士服、学士服的毕业生翘首盼望华人首富的出现。首届博士生毕业并授予学位是汕大建校20年来的第一次,国家有关部委、广东及香港知名人士应邀参加。上午10时,汕大第16届毕业典礼召开,在一阵经久不息的热烈掌声中,汕大校董会名誉主席李嘉诚再次道出对汕大的一片深情,首届博士生从李嘉诚手中接过毕业证,汕大校园洋溢着浓浓学情。
June 27, Shantou University campus crowds surging, a group of students dressed in doctoral services, master’s suits, bachelor clothes eagerly looking forward to the emergence of the richest man in China. For the first time in 20 years since the establishment of the Shantou University, graduates of the first Ph.D. degree and conferment of degrees have been invited to attend the forums by prominent state ministries, Guangdong and Hong Kong celebrities. At 10 a.m., the 16th Graduation Ceremony of Shantou University was held. During a burst of warm applause, the honorary chairman of Shantou University Council Li Ka-shing once again made a profound impression on Shantou University. The first doctoral student took a diploma from Li Ka-shing , Shantou University campus filled with thick learning conditions.
