对流免疫电泳法能用来确定血清或脑脊液里各种细菌和病毒抗原。作者认为感染疟疾的动物血清中的疟原虫抗原在电泳中向阳极移动,因而用对流免疫电泳来证实这些抗原是可能的,并预料该技术较双向扩散法能更快地获得结果。
Convective immuno-electrophoresis can be used to determine various bacterial and viral antigens in serum or cerebrospinal fluid. The authors believe that the malaria antigen in the sera of animals infected with malaria moves towards the anode during electrophoresis and therefore confirmation of these antigens is possible with convective immuno-electrophoresis and it is expected that this technique will achieve results more quickly than bi-directional diffusion.
