续修新一届军事志 ,应从军事志的基本特征和本质属性出发 ,应注意突出军事志的地方性特征 ,突出地方性军事活动 ,军事志从属地方志的范畴 ,不同于地方志中独立的专业志 ;军事志作为区域志书的一部分 ,不可能也不应该超出区域的范畴去表达全局的情况和事件 ;军事志表述的内容应是与当地军事密切相关的情况和资料。为避免军事地理与专业地理志之间的重复与交叉 ,保证志书的质量 ,必须在篇目设置时 ,加强对细目设置的研究。本文希望引起编修军事志的广大同仁及关心军事志编修工作的专家、学者的关注 ,并欢迎积极展开讨论。
