崇高概念自19世纪以来成为一个主要美学范畴,它与对大自然的艺术表现紧密相关。文中指出,20世纪的进程与技术经验越来越无法分离。然而,在生物技术(例如转基因和合成生物学)时代,崇高重新获得了自然维度。以爱德华·卡克的绿色荧光蛋白兔为例,可以认为,在生物技术时代,自然、技术与艺术之间的差别将逐渐消失,崇高的新维度将显现出来。
Sublime concepts have become a major aesthetic category since the 19th century and are closely linked to the artistic expression of nature. The article pointed out that the 20th century process and technical experience more and more inseparable. However, in the era of biotechnology (eg, genetically modified and synthetic biology), the natural dimension was regained. Taking Edward Cark’s GFP rabbit as an example, one can assume that in the age of biotechnology, the difference between nature, technology and art will gradually disappear, and a new, noble dimension will emerge.
