The International Symposium on “Sino-Western Relations and Macao in the 16th to 18th Centuries” co-sponsored by the China-Foreign Relations History Society, the Macao Foundation and the Macao Polytechnic Institute was held in Macao from November 1 to November 5, 2003. More than 100 experts and scholars from the Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, France and Canada attended the symposium and exchanged views and discussions.
