淡水鲳Colossoma brachypomum(cuvier,1818)原产南美亚马逊河。据报道,最大个体体长可达70—100厘米,体重为10多公斤。近年来,广东、福建、浙江、湖北等省有关水产部门陆续引进。我所于1986年7月下旬经香港从台湾引进一批体长2—3厘米淡水鲳鱼苗,经一年多试养,长势良好。淡水鲳具有食性杂、生长快、喜群集、易捕捞、耐低氧、肉质细嫩和营养好等特点,是一个有发展前景的养殖品种。为探索其养殖方式,便开展了养殖技术的初步研究,现将试验情况总结如下。

Freshwater 鲳 has the characteristics of feeding heterozygosity, fast growth, hi clustering, easy fishing, hypoxia resistance, tender meat and good nutrition, etc. It is a promising breeding species.
