日本文化从其历史来源和演变上看具有明显的多元性.这种多元文化是本土文化与异质文化相互融合后而形成的文化.日本人对待外来文化时采取的是选择性吸收--模仿复制--综合创新的程序,正因为外来文化在日本本土化程度很高很成功,才能成为日本民族性的一部分.日本文化的多元性是日本文化中传统与现代、本土与外来、东方与西方各种文化成分长期交融的结果.
