1942年5月15日,对于正在经受卫国战争煎熬的前苏联航空工业来说是一个值得庆贺的日子。这一天,前苏联航空工业设计局总设计师维克多·博尔霍维季诺夫研制的国内首架ВИ-1火箭战斗机成功地完成了首次试飞。这不仅使前苏联的航空火箭事业迈上了一个新的台阶,也为前苏联于1957年成功地发射第一颗人造卫星和于1961年成功地将第一艘宇宙飞船送入太空奠定了基础。
May 15, 1942, a memorable day for the aviation industry in the former Soviet Union that was experiencing the torrential war of nations. On this day, the first V-1 rocket fighter developed by former chief designer of the Soviet Aviation Industry Design Bureau Victor Borehovitinov successfully completed its first test flight. This not only brought the aviation rocket career of the former Soviet Union to a new level but also laid the foundation for the successful launching of the first satellite by the former Soviet Union in 1957 and the successful delivery of the first spacecraft into space in 1961 .
