Objective To investigate the significance of detecting essential hypertension (EH) urine microalbumin (MAU), serum cystatin C (Cys-C) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) Methods The MAU, Cys-C and hs-CRP were measured in 41 patients with primary hypertension (group C) and compared with 50 healthy people (group A) and 50 patients without EH (group B). Results The MAU, Cys-C and hs-CRP in group C were significantly higher than those in group A and B (P <0.01). There was a significant positive correlation between MAU and Cys-C in group C (r = 0.409, And hs-CRP showed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.379, P <0.05). Conclusions MAU, Cys-C and hs-CRP have significant significance in the early detection of EH renal damage.
